Fathers have a profound impact on us. Kevin grew up as a Preacher's Kid. His dad was the pastor of a dynamic church in southern California, and he wanted to be just like him. That is, until his life was ripped apart when a lady violently broke into their home. After beating his mom with a lead pipe and shooting her several times she was left for dead, and Kevin's life was crushed. Yet, nothing could have prepared him for what he discovered next; his father was behind the attack. This is where Finding My Father begins.

The story is told from three intertwined perspectives. The first is the unfolding of his childhood living beyond the trauma trying to figure out why he does the things he does. Unseen miracles seem to follow him, even though he doesn’t see the guiding presence that never abandons him.

The second unfolds from a horrific prison experience. Kevin reflects on his childhood while being detained by a hostile government. While crossing international borders on a business trip he is seized and held without explanation, which puts him face to face with prison gangs, a riot, and terrifying captors.

The third peels back a supernatural veil exposing a paranormal battle for his soul involving creatures of darkness and an unseen presence of light, his heavenly Father.

Based on a true story, Finding My Father takes the reader on a journey from the father who caused the scars, to the one who heals them.

This truly inspiring story based on the real life events of the author will shock you as it exposes the darkness of this physical world seeking all of us. From the murder attempts to an unthinkable incarceration, to the roller coaster experiences of a fatherless child, the book is hard to put down. This story is unbelievable except it really happened. The scary thing is part of it may be happening to you too.

“With its gripping account of personal tragedies, Finding My Father probes into deep questions about the reality of evil.   In the tradition of C.S. Lewis’ Screwtape Letters, Kevin Albright surfaces dark questions about spiritual battles we all may face with Satan.  It’s a needed focus on the neglected area of where the battleground for our well being really lies.”

- Lorna Dueck, TV Host and Media Commentator, Context with Lorna Dueck, Faith Commentary Writer; The Globe and Mail

“I don’t know why some people have more pain in their lives than others. Kevin Albright has certainly had his share. But as I read this powerful, engaging journey of his life, the word that kept coming to me was…’redemption’. Pain has a way of bringing that about in our lives. If you’re looking for an authentic, frank story of God’s redemption in the midst of turmoil, this book is for you”.

-Roger Cross, President Emeritus Youth for Christ/USA

“…I am struck by the way God has lead and enabled [Kevin] to overcome one obstacle after another in his life journey. You will be too as you read his story as he tells it with inspired imagination and a transformed perspective. Finding My Father is a powerful portrayal of the journey we all need to be on to personally discover the father heart of God and his power to make you an overcomer."

-Shane Gould, Lead Pastor Burlington Alliance, Ontario /Canada

“This fantastic true story is a classic. It represents a young man re-building his life and soaring above his past with insight and vision.”

-Bonnie L. Parker, Executive World Missions Director ABEA, Founder of Living Springs Ministries

“Kevin’s story was engrossing, and his spiritual pilgrimage endearing. I rejoice in what he has found in our Heavenly Father a parent who will never fail him, unlike his earthly father...”

-Bill Bjork, Senior Pastor Grace Bible Church, Phoenix, Arizona
